Heath & Candace Hawkins
Family Vacation: Epcot 2010
Heath is a school teacher and Southern Baptist Preacher through the week. He loves to spend time with his family, and they have always loved traveling. Heath does have a background in travel writing. For a few years he was a regular contributor to several Branson, Missouri travel sites including The Branson Courier and Branson Critic. For a short time, he even hosted his own travel website called Branson and Beyond. He also wrote for a weekly news publication called the The Traveler in central Missouri. During those days He and Candace did not have children and traveled all over Missouri.
Candace is currently an elementary music teacher and Girl Scout leader. She will be involved in more of a support way, with the occasional entry. She too has a background in print and online media. Following college she worked in Graphic Design for The Daily Guide Newspaper in Central, Missouri. While there she lead the newspaper in starting a travel and leisure monthly magazine geared for military families on Fort Leonard Wood called At Ease! Not only did she produce the magazine, but was also a feature writer for the travel section. Her articles were under the healing Day Tripping Around Missouri. The focus was short trips that military families could take in a weekend or less. She also worked for The Guidon Newspaper, which is owned by the newspaper giant Gannett Corporation.
